Fortepiano made in 1814 by Sebestyen Antal Vogel (?1779-1837) in Pest, with the inscription "Louis van Beethoven / S.A. Vogel priv. Mobilfabrik in Pest No. 152A" on the nameboard below a bust of Beethoven flanked by two putti. Beethoven reported sold the piano a year later to another maker, Feiler. In 1982, the Smithsonial Institution acquired a piano believed to be Beethoven's Vogel. Cf.
