Bronze monuments by Georg Kolbe (1877-1947) set on raised ground in Taunusanlage near the old opera house in Frankfurt. The engraving on the low pedestal reads "Dem Genius Beethoven." The monument is an idealized figure of the nude composer flanked by two Genii, Sinnende and Rufende (Alai, Beethoven glorified in statues, p. 66)
